Text: Nehemiah 9:10

Date: 09/OCT

Today’s Word serves as a powerful reminder to guard against pride in our own lives. It calls us to reflect on where we might be relying on our own strength, wisdom, or status instead of submitting humbly to God’s sovereignty.

In this passage, the Israelites recall God’s mighty acts against Pharaoh, who, in his arrogance, stood against God’s people. This pride not only led to Egypt’s suffering but also revealed God’s glory through His judgment. *God resists the proud,* whether individuals or nations, showcasing His greatness and leaving no room for arrogance before Him. Let’s examine our hearts and live humbly, remembering that God honors (giving grace to) those who walk in humility and reverence for His will.

*PRAYER* _Lord, grant me true humility to honor You first and serve others selflessly, knowing all I have is by Your grace. IJN_
